Society Islands of French Polynesia has the Leeward group and Bora Bora is one of its islands. Bora Bora is located covering 230 kilometers and is present towards the northwest direction of Papeete. The center of island consists of leftovers of extinct volcano which had to peaks namely Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu. This is highest point and is about 727 meters high. It was named as “Pora Pora” during 18 and 19 century.
